Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMD/TMJ) can develop over time due to several different reasons. Sometimes TMD/TMJ can develop due to stressors in your life, overconsumption of caffeine or alcohol, an imbalance in the bite, or even because of hereditary reasons.
Whatever the cause, Dr. Page have the advanced training and experience required to accurately diagnose the issue and help effectively treat it.
TMD/TMJ problems are best managed with a combination of different modalities, including splint therapy, BOTOX therapy, TENS treatment, and physical therapy. Sometimes even yoga and meditation are recommended for our patients to help them relieve stress in their lives, which can contribute to TMD/TMJ issues.
